Under the guidance of Dr. Pedro García, an experienced gynaecologist specialising in assisted reproduction, our New Family Models and Preservation Unit offers comprehensive fertility treatments tailored to each individual and family type. Our team, especially within this unit, is dedicated to helping you achieve your family goals, whatever they may be. We are continuously developing personally and professionally to provide the best possible support for all family models.

Among the options offered are:

ROPA Method

The Reception of Oocytes from Partner (ROPA) involves both partners in the process. One partner undergoes ovarian stimulation to produce eggs, which are inseminated with donor sperm, and the resulting embryos are then transferred to the other partner, who carries the pregnancy. In this way, both partners actively participate in the process. To optimize treatment success, we recommend a dual assessment, available through our EDI DUO, to determine the best approach and to make an informed decision together.

Gestation in Same-Sex Female Couples via Other Methods

For same-sex female couples where one partner wishes to carry the pregnancy, we offer two treatment options: artificial insemination (AI) or In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), both using donor sperm from our sperm bank. If you already know who wants to carry the pregnancy, we recommend requesting the EDI SINGLE; if you'd like to assess both partners' fertility before deciding, the EDI DUO is a better option.

Single Mothers by Choice (MSPE)

More women are choosing to become single mothers, either due to not having found a suitable partner or for personal reasons. Professional growth, empowerment, and financial independence have enabled many women to pursue their family dreams. Recommended treatments include artificial insemination (AI) or In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), both using donor sperm from our sperm bank. Fertility Preservation

This involves freezing or cryopreserving eggs for future fertilization, allowing women to choose the best time for motherhood without fertility concerns. If interested, you can request the EDI FREEZE to evaluate your ovarian reserve through ultrasound and anti-Müllerian hormone testing.

Social Preservation: Egg freezing is an option to delay motherhood without worrying about the natural decline in fertility over time.

Medical Preservation: Fertility preservation is also recommended for women facing conditions or treatments that could affect their ovarian reserves and reduce fertility potential, such as:

Cancer treatments (chemotherapy or radiotherapy)
Ovarian endometriosis surgery, especially if both ovaries are affected
Low ovarian reserve, as indicated by ultrasound or anti-Müllerian hormone levels

Fertility for Transgender Individuals

The desire to start a family among transgender individuals is no different from that of anyone else.
